Human hair wigs can be quite expensive and high maintenance. Synthetic wigs offer a composed look and frizz-free hair. They are the best option for low maintenance, cost-effective, beautiful hair. With the advancement of wig technology, synthetic wigs have come a long way in recent years. In some cases, the hair color, texture, and density of synthetic wigs almost feel like human hair.

Synthetic wigs take a bit more care as they are not actual hair, they are made of fiber. They do not need to be washed often, probably only every 20 wears. Synthetic wigs need to be washed with a special wig shampoo, made for synthetic wigs which can easily be found on Amazon or a beauty supply store. They should be washed in cold water so that the curl/hair texture is not altered during the wash. Synthetic wigs are specifically made so they do not need to be styled each time you wear them. A metal bristle wig brush is highly recommended when needed.

Synthetic wigs are fibers that break down over time. There are specific things that can be done to repair the fibers, such as fabric softener soak overnight that will help repair the synthetic fibers. You can also apply a low amount of heat (always do a test strand first) to repair frizzy ends. Silicone wig sprays and dry conditioners are always a recommended to extend the life of the wig. Spray liberally on the long parts.

Take care when cutting the lace to match your hairline shape. Use a dry shampoo or translucent powder to take down the shine on a brand new wig. You can also add concealer to the part line of the wig to match your scalp color better. You can also use Scar Tape or Wig wax on the part to conceal the knots better and make it look very natural.

Yes, it can. Try to keep the longer wig over your shoulder to the front so that you don’t lean on it when sitting which causes too much friction and can make it frizzy. Try to keep the wig away from the shoulder seatbelt too. Excessive touching and brushing can also break the fibers and reduce the curl patterns.

Most high quality synthetic wigs are heat resistant up to 300 degrees. Always do a test strand first to make sure it can handle the heat.
-
Most wig wearers store their wigs by hanging them on hooks or keeping them placed in their satin bags.

Due to the nature of the product and hygienic purposes, wig returns and/or exchanges are not accepted.
